Zoopla.co.uk becomes UK's second biggest portal in under two years

Following its recent market consolidation, Zoopla.co.uk has emerged as the UK's second largest property portal, behind only Rightmove, according to the latest audience figures available from Nielsen. The Nielsen results for November reveal unique visitors to Zoopla.co.uk ahead of rivals FindaProperty and Primelocation and show a continued closing of the gap on Rightmove.

Having launched under two years ago and added property listings only last year, Zoopla.co.uk has rapidly emerged as one of the clear market leaders in the UK portal space which underwent quite a transformation during 2009. With a number of players either having been acquired or having fallen by the wayside, the space is now dominated by three major players - Rightmove, Zoopla.co.uk and Digital Property Group.
