Leading UK property portals traffic up ten per cent in March

- pay-per-lead portal zoopla.co.uk fastest growing once again -

According to the latest website performance monitoring stats from the two leading independent sources, Nielsen and comScore, unique website visitors to the Top 10 UK property portals in March were up almost ten per cent (9.52%) in March on February's figures.

Zoopla.co.uk was revealed once again as the UK's fastest growing property portal in March, recording an impressive 26.2% increase in website traffic month-on-month as it continues to capture market share of online property consumers.

The Top 10 UK Property Portal Rankings has been compiled by taking an average of the unique users in the month reported by Nielsen and comScore, in order to provide the most accurate picture of the portal market. By averaging the two sources, the figures can be viewed as more stable and eliminate any bias of one reporting method over another.

The figures are encouraging for the industry, with all but one of the top 10 portals reporting increased traffic in March and highlighting the growing consumer interest required to fuel any market recovery. The smallest growth reported was for the PropertyFinder Group (0.22%), which fell well short of the average growth rates achieved by the other leading portals.
