Brickworks Says
Set out over three floors, this meticulously extended five-bedroom house has what it takes to be someone’s dream home. The owners have done a standout job of maximising its potential, seamlessly integrating modern elements––the monochrome kitchen, the exposed brick and steel––with pretty tiles and ornate fireplaces. It’s a home that lends itself to any mood. Get snug in front of the wood burner during cooler months, open the bi-fold doors for optimal summer living, or just enjoy the views of the garden and the sunlight permeating the dining space.
The top floors are home to five bedrooms, from the stylishly mature to the playful. The two bathrooms will help ensure there’s never a queue in the morning. Outside, the garden is wonderfully low-maintenance, although with so much space, green fingers will be kept busy. And not forgetting the studio, tucked away in the corner, appealing to anyone wanting a room to call their own or a den for little ones.
Fairbourne Road is in an area big on community, as the café in nearby Downhills Park is a testament. It is also home to an ever-growing number of restaurants and bars, not least the doorstep-close Luna d’Amore pizza restaurant and a gem of a local, The Palm. Plus, there are various green spaces, each with its own pull, from family-focused Lordship Rec to the wilds of Tottenham Marshes.
The Owners Say
Fairbourne Road is a mini-community in itself. We have an annual street party in summer, which is a lovely neighbourhood event, and a winter film night.
We love Tottenham's multi-cultural vibe and the beautiful parks and river nearby. Having close access to the wetlands makes for some lovely walks with the family, which is a welcome balance to the hustle and bustle of London life. Having this all at your fingertips is rare anywhere, but especially in London, and we will miss it (and our neighbours) enormously.
