River Ure
The River Ure was once one of the best salmon rivers in the UK supporting catches of 3,000 salmon per annum, however pollution during the Industrial Revolution decimated the run of migratory fish.

The Ure Salmon Group has been established to undertake such projects as extensive habitat improvement work to the main river and its main tributaries such as Bishopdale Beck and the River Cover. Other projects include a structured salmon smolt real program utilising the rivers own natural brood stock to mitigate for the loss of spawning and nursery areas lost through the development of local reservoirs.

The fishing rights are offered for sale by private treaty as a whole. The Vendor reserves the right to conclude the sale by any other means at their discretion.

The fishing rights are offered for sale freehold with vacant possession.

The land is sold subject to and with the benefits of all rights of way, water drainage, water courses and other easements quasi or reputed easements and rights of adjoining owners (if any) affecting the same and all existing and proposed wayleaves and other matters registered by any competent authority subject to statute.

From Masham take the A6108 towards Ripon. Turn left immediately after Masham bridge signposted Thornton Watlass and Newton-le-Willows. Continue for approximately 2 miles before turning left in the hamlet of Clifton signposted Charlcot (no through road).
