An elegant period house which forms part of a charming Grade II Listed Georgian stable building and benefits from well-proportioned rooms with good ceiling heights. The Stables originally served Sherborne House, once part of Sherborne Estate. Understood to stand on the site of a monastic grange, the first house was built in the mid-C17th and later rebuilt for Lord Sherborne, reputedly designed by Inigo Jones. The stable block was built of ashlar stone in 1767 and converted into houses in the 1987 retaining the vast proportions that characterises Georgian architecture.
