Kingswear, which has a historic church, is home to the Royal Dart Yacht Club and is well known for its steam trains that run alongside the estuary towards Paignton. There are a number of village Inns, all having a reputation for splendid food, and there is also a privately run marina. Car and passenger ferries enable easy access to the port town of Dartmouth on the other side of the estuary.Dartmouth offers a larger selection of shops and local restaurants.

Directions

From Dartmouth, cross the River ferry and continue for approximately 2 miles until you reach the turning
signposted for Hillhead. At the mini roundabout, turn right towards Brixham. After a short distance turn right
signed Radicombe Lodge. Hillside Lodge will shortly be seen on the left hand side.
